I agree with Old Blue Eyes; Chicago IS my kind of town. Complete with a gritty history, fantastic architecture rising from the water's edge, Cloud Gate, not to mention the home of the International Home + Housewares Show. It was Rush3 Product Studio's first appearance at such an event and how exciting to see other gourmet kitchen products, by both new and seasoned inventors. You never forget your first; that's right, good old Booth #S2875.
It was great fun to introduce buyers and the press to Kebo; not unlike a coming out party except without the sixteen years of anticipation and pedigree. Instead of debutantes I was joined by Rush2, a consummate salesman, comedian and muse for the Kebo visage graphics.
To take a great scene and make it better, Kebo was awarded the 2012 Innovation Award for the Kitchen Hand Tools + Cutlery Category. Humbling for sure. Who knew that all of those late nights in the studio testing prototypes (yes, I mean drinking beer) would be rewarded with this type of nod? Thanks Guys, it means alot.
